Most species originate from East Asia and the center of diversity is in China. Countless horticultural varieties and cultivars exist. Stellar Red is a prolific, decorative, medium-red sport of Stellar Purple – similar in uniformity and growth habit to Stellar Purple, with about 10% less vigor. Flower color may fade in high temperatures. Medium/short vigor.
