You don't need to be a runner to start this program. You just need to decide you're ready.
The HPL Couch to 5K is a complete training system built by Coach Sean Wade — 20+ years of coaching experience, designed for real people starting from zero. Whether you have two days a week or three, this program meets you exactly where you are and takes you all the way to your first 5K.
What's inside:
Track A — 2 Days/Week (10 Weeks) A gradual, beginner-friendly path. More recovery between sessions means your joints, tendons, and connective tissue have maximum time to adapt. Built for complete beginners, busy schedules, or anyone coming back from a long break.
Track B — 3 Days/Week (8 Weeks) The classic C25K structure. Three sessions per week, progressive interval training, and a clear finish line in 8 weeks. Best for people ready to commit and build aerobic fitness fast.
Supporting Strength Training Two strength programs — one for each track — with exercises chosen specifically to support runners: glute activation for power, calf work for shin splint prevention, hip stability for knee health. No gym required.
4-Day Mobility Program The part most people skip — and the reason most people get hurt. Four targeted sessions covering hips, ankles, thoracic spine, and hamstrings. Keeps you moving and keeps you injury-free.
Supplement Guide Eight research-backed supplements with dosages, timing, and the science behind why beginning runners benefit from each one. Includes magnesium, collagen, omega-3s, creatine, and more.
This isn't just a running plan. It's the whole system — running, strength, mobility, and recovery — built around getting you to the starting line healthy and across the finish line proud.
One program. Two tracks. Your first 5K is closer than you think.
