HPL Torque Program A 6-Week Rotational Power & Throwing Strength System $47 — Instant Digital Download Discus • Shot Put • Javelin • Hammer

Most high school throwers get generic weight-room programming and nothing else — no throws-specific power development, no shoulder or low-back care built around what throwing actually does to the body, and no room to train their own event's technique. The HPL Torque Program is built around what every thrower needs, regardless of implement: the shared rotational engine that powers every throw, and the joint resilience to keep using it.

Six weeks. Five sessions a week. Four events, one shared foundation:

  • Rotational Power — hip-shoulder separation and core transfer through rotational medicine ball throws, the engine behind every throw
  • General Throwing Strength — explosive strength standards (squat and pull-pattern power, overhead medicine ball throws) that transfer across all four events
  • Recovery & Prehab — the day most throwing programs skip. Rotator cuff and scapular stability, low-back and core stability, built around the two zones throwing loads hardest
  • Release-Phase Power — training the final acceleration into release, adaptable to each athlete's specific implement
  • Throw-Specific Technical Work — each athlete trains their own event's technique, on their own implement, with full approach

Two benchmark checkpoints — Week 3 (College-Ready) and Week 6 (Torque Benchmark) — measure standing throw distance, rotational power, vertical jump (an explosive-power proxy), full-approach throw distance, and shoulder eccentric strength as a rotator cuff resilience metric. All measured as improvement against the athlete's own Week 1 baseline, so the same checkpoint works whether they throw discus, shot, javelin, or hammer.

Who it's for: High school throwers in any of the four throwing events heading into college track & field, looking for power development and joint care their high school programs don't provide.

What's included:

  • Full 6-week, 5-day/week training calendar
  • Rotational power and general throwing strength protocols
  • A complete recovery system: rotator cuff/scapular stability, low-back and core care
  • Release-phase power training
  • Two benchmark testing days with clear pass/repeat criteria
  • Equipment and safety guidance, including hammer-specific supervision requirements
