Soccer is a 90-minute athletic test that most youth athletes aren't physically prepared for — not because they're not talented, but because no one has systematically built the foundation underneath their game. The Soccer Athlete Foundation Program from Human Potential Labs changes that.
This 4-week, 4-day-per-week program is designed for athletes ages 10–14 and built around the specific physical demands of soccer: explosive acceleration, rapid change of direction, single-leg power, and sustained cardiovascular output across full-match duration. It targets the exact imbalances youth soccer creates — hip flexor overuse from repetitive kicking, quad dominance that leaves the posterior chain underprepared, ankle instability from high-volume multi-directional play on variable surfaces, and the neuromuscular gaps in landing mechanics that are the primary mechanism behind ACL tears in young athletes.
Week 1–2 build the base: single-leg strength and control, drop landing mechanics, posterior chain activation, lateral movement patterns, and aerobic foundation. Week 3–4 add load and intensity: heavier resistance, repeat-sprint intervals, the Bulgarian split squat, the T-drill and 5-10-5 shuttle at full speed, and a match-simulation cardiovascular finisher that replicates second-half demands.
Every session includes a full sport-specific warm-up with ACL injury prevention built in — drop landing progressions, hip abductor activation, ankle perturbation drills, and a progressive cardiovascular ramp. The injury profile covers six conditions in depth: ACL tears and knee ligament stress, patellar tendinopathy and Osgood-Schlatter disease, hamstring strains, ankle sprains and chronic instability, hip flexor tightness and strain, and shin splints and tibial stress — including mechanism, warning signs, and how each section of the program addresses the risk.
A full extended mobility guide, recovery and cool-down protocol, progress tracking sheet, and What's Next section with direct HPL contact and booking information round out the program.
